District result: Gota wins tight race in Badulla

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa took the lead in the Badulla District, securing over 49% of the votes, while Sajith Premadasa, presidential candidate of National Democratic Front (NDF), gained 44.92% of the votes.

1. Gotabaya Rajapaksa – 276,211 (49.29%)
2. Sajith Premadasa – 251,706 (44.92%)
3. Anura Kumara Dissanayake – 14,806 (2.64%)
