Eleven victims were killed in road accidents during the last 24-hours, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said today.
He said, in one accident at Kekirawa, a van travelling towards Anuradhapura has crashed into a tree injuring 13 including five children. Two women were killed in the accident.
DIG Rohana said the number of accidents being reported daily has increased during the festive season and requested the public to be extra cautious to prevent accidents.
