
The fundamental rights petition filed at the Supreme Court by the ETI Depositors Association has been postponed to 4 December, an executive member of the ETI Depositors Association said.
The petition filed on the 4
th of April this year seeks to freeze assets belonging to ETI Finance Company and its board of directors.
Several institutions including the The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), CBSL Governor, the CBSL's Monetary Board, ETI Finance Company have been named as responds in the petition.
The petition states that ETI Finance has failed to pay interest to more than 2500 of its members who have collectively deposited around Rs 20 billion in the company.
