Venerable Medagoda Abayathissa Thera had recently alleged that the FBI on the 21st of April had flown down and collected samples, which had in turn affected local investigations.
In response to this statement Gunasekara told media yesterday(30) that samples were released to the FBI on court orders.
According to Gunasekara, the FBI had collected samples of body parts of the suicide bombers and their equipment.
