Sri Lanka’s carrom stars Nishantha Fernando and Shaheed Hilmi secured a bronze medal in the men’s team event at the eighth World Carrom Championship.
The Sri Lankan duo managed to beat the Bangladeshi team by two games to one in the bronze medal match held on Tuesday (4).
The team of eight players including four male players and four female players are currently representing Sri Lanka in the eighth World Carrom Championship in Malaysia.
The competition started off on Monday (3) and will continue till tomorrow (7). Over 250 players from 17 countries arrived in Malaysia for the tournament.
