Fourteen staff members of the Kuliyapitiya Teaching Hospital, including four doctors, have been infected with Covid-19. The Director of the Kuliyapitiya Teaching Hospital Dr. Prabhath Werawatta stated that the infected were identified during rapid antigen tests conducted yesterday. In addition to the four doctors, eight nurses and two junior staff members attached to the hospital's surgical wards have also been infected with Covid. Dr. Prabath Werawatta said that all the surgeons, doctors and staff members who worked in the surgical ward complex of the hospital and all the patients who were receiving treatment at the hospital have been referred for PCR tests.
