Govt. dismisses rumours claiming curfew will be imposed
The Government has dismissed rumours claiming that it will impose curfew and declare public holidays in the coming days.
The Government Information Department releasing a statement today said the government had not taken any decision to impose curfew.
“There are fake news suggesting that some of the contacts of covid patients are covid positive without the government having confirmed it.”
The Department further said the government has taken all necessary action with regard to identifying Covid-19 patients, their contacts, subjecting contacts to PCR tests and quarantine procedures following the outbreak of the virus at the Treatment and Rehabilitation center in Kandakadu East.
