Harsha questions decision to vaccinate selected Hambantota individuals with Pfizer

Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Harsha De Silva has voiced his opinion on twitter and questioned the scientific reasoning as to why 50,000 Pfizer vaccines have been handed over to the Sri Lanka Army for vaccination of individuals aged 20-30 in the Hambantota district.

“Is this a scientific selection of vaccine administration? What about the kids sitting for exams in November?,” he asked.

This arose due to the letter signed by Dr Asela Gunawardene, Director General of Health Services, approving the issuance of 50,000 Pfizer vaccines for certain areas in Hambantota.
