No Government will form at this time and this is why President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is wasting time and not stepping down from his presidency, I am not working to join a government which betrayed democracy and and are a hindrance to the the freedom of the people, says Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Harsha De Silva. He made this statement on a social media post yesterday (16). "However, I will take an important step to provide a solution to the existing economic crisis and if offered, will accept the post as Chairman of the Financial Committee in Parliament, and I believe my name will be suggested for this position and I will accept it if I have the support of others. I hope to lead an economic revival plan if I am appointed as the chairman of the Financial Committee, and it is the wishes of the people as well to form an all party interim government to handle the economic crisis," said MP De Silva. He further noted that the financial decisions of the country lay in the hands of the Parliament and the monetary council and that he planned to pledge his utmost support in protecting the opinion of the people.
