Photographs have been received of doctors and nurses posing for pictures without masks and having a good time, whereas they need to set an example to the general public said Deputy Director General of Health Dr Hemantha Herath.
He made this statement during a media brief held today (05).
"We have received photographs of doctors, nurses and other health workers posing for pictures while having a good time, whereas they are not wearing face masks. Health workers should lead by example to the general public," said Dr Herath.
He went on to say that by doing this, risks would be high and it will not only affect health workers, but also greater challenges will have to faced in the future.
