Highest number of Covid patients reported yesterday from Gampaha

The highest number of Covid-19 cases reported yesterday (10) was from the Gampaha district.

According to the National Operations Center for the Prevention of Covid-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), 171 cases have been reported from the Nittambuwa area.

In the Gampaha district 28 cases were reported from Biyagama, 12 from Dompe, 42 from Gampaha, 15 from Katunayake, 13 from Kelaniya, 19 from Kirindiwela, 33 from Minuwangoda and Negombo, 11 from Sapugaskanda, 32 from Veyangoda, 15 from Wattala and 14 from Weliweriya.

A total of 2,738 cases of Covid-19 were reported from Sri Lanka yesterday, 23 of them from overseas.

339 cases have been reported from the Colombo district and most of them have been identified from Avissawella, as many as 87 infected people.

The infected were identified in 21 districts yesterday (81) in Kegalle, 73 in Badulla, 38 in Ampara, 35 in Matale, 68 in Anuradhapura, 4 in Mullaitivu, 25 in Mannar, 32 in Vavuniya, 48 in Trincomalee, 198 in Nuwara Eliya, 127 in Kandy, 52 in Puttalam and 16 in Jaffna. Five cases have been reported from Kilinochchi, 30 from Polonnaruwa, 27 from Hambantota, six from Moneragala and 79 from Batticaloa.
