Images circulating on social media depict the latest addition to Sri Lanka’s growing number of protest sites, ‘Horu Go Gama’.
Set up opposite the main access road to the Parliament, Horu Go Gama was set up yesterday.
This comes after 12 protesters were arrested in front of the Parliament access road after handing over a letter to the Speaker of Parliament.
Some estimates state that around 150 people have gathered at the Horu Go Gama site.
The first protest site of this nature, Gota Go Gama was set up on April 11 at the Galle Face area. This was followed by Myna Go Gama in front of Temple Trees.
