Kohli wins two plum awards, Ellyse Perry dominates women's award
The winners of the prestigious International Cricket Council (ICC) Awards for the Decade, including the Rachel Heyhoe-Flint Award for the Best Female Player of the Decade and Sir Garfield Sobers Award for the Best Male Player, were announced yesterday (28) by the ICC. Virat Kohli, who scored 20,396 runs in all international cricket during the time period, which is more than anyone else, won two main awards. He was also part of team India that won the ICC World Cup 2011 and ICC Champions Trophy 2013. Kohli was also named ICC Cricketer of the Year in both 2017 and 2018, so it was no surprise that he emerged as the clear jury favourite, winning the “ICC Male Cricketer of the Decade”.
