"Sacrifices must be made for the welfare of the future generations, even if it requires that the people eat two meals instead of three,"
This statement was made by SLPP MP Jagath Kumara at a media briefing held yesterday (11).
When questioned by the media if such sacrifices would be made by the Ministers as well, Kumara mentioned that the salaries of all members of Parliament have already been sacrificed, implying that sacrifices are made by everyone.
Furthermore, Kumara did not fail to mention that the Opposition is clinging to the 'undergarments issue', creating unnecessary panic amongst the people.
