Deputy Director-General of Health Services Dr. Hemantha Herath stated today (02) that is important for Sri Lanka to prepare for the administration of a possible third dose of anti Covid-19 vaccines.
He made these statements at a press conference held today.
Further, he mentioned that several other countries are considering administering a third dose or an additional vaccine dose annually.
“The most common method against viruses is annual vaccination. Therefore, considering scientifically, there is a good chance that it would be the same for this new virus.” Dr Herath said.
