Isolation will be lifted if public takes necessary precautionary measures: Ajith Rohana

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana today stated that the lifting of isolation will be done according to the conduct of the residents in those areas.

He requested all residents to adhere to health guidelines such as social distancing, movement restriction and wearing of face mask.

The isolation order is still in operation in 9 police areas of Colombo North and Central, he said.

Further, a total of 41 suspects were arrested in connection with offences against quarantine regulations during the last 24 hours, he stated. A total of 1652 suspects have been arrested since 30 October 2020.
