Sri Lanka National Youth cap Kalana Perera, the left-arm paceman of S. Thomas’ College, Mt. Lavinia, took eight wickets for just a single run against St. Mary’s College, Kegalle in the second-innings of their fixture of the Singer Trophy Under-19 inter-schools cricket tournament, played at Mount Lavinia on Wednesday, 30 October.
St. Mary’s were bowled out for six runs in 10.5 overs. They only played 6.5 overs on day two. This was reportedly the lowest score in the series so far. Two runs came from the bat and the other four came from extras. S. Thomas’ won the match by an innings and 233 runs.
