Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias Col. Karuna Ammanwho left the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) a short while ago  after providing a near  7 hour statement. Amman was summoned by the CID over the controversial speech he made during a public meeting last week. Karuna Amman addressing a public meeting last Friday (19) stated that he was more dangerous than the Covid-19 virus as he had killed nearly 2,000-3,000 military personnel during the war. Karuna’s statement drew criticism from many parties who claimed that he was trying to glorify the killing of Sri Lankan soldiers during his time as a LTTE militant.
