LG and PC Ministry allocated highest funds in VoA

The Vote on Account (VoA), which is to be taken up for debate this week in Parliament, has allocated the highest amount of funds to the Public Services, Local Government (LG) and Provincial Councils (PC) Ministry. Accordingly, the highest allocation of close to Rs. 200 billion in the VoA that seeks approval for finances amounting to Rs. 1.7 trillion has been assigned to the Public Services, LG and PC Ministry. The VoA has assigned Rs. 180 billion for recurrent expenditure in the public sector with around Rs. 83 billion being allocated to the Department of Pensions. The second highest allocation has been made to the Defence Ministry, which is around Rs. 175 billion. The VoA is to be taken up for debate on Thursday (27) and Friday (28).
