The 123rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Colombo Young Men’s Buddhist Association (YMBA) was held on 27 November 2021 at the main hall of the association in Borella.
The meeting was held in a hybrid physical-virtual manner, in compliance with Covid-19 health guidelines. At the beginning of the meeting, two minutes of silence were observed to remember the deceased members. The ceremonial inauguration was started by the lighting of the traditional oil lamp.
The following office bearers for the period (2021/2022) were unanimously elected: Mahendra Jayasekera (President), Kusumabandu Samarawickrama (Vice President), Nalin J. Abeyesekere (Vice President), Daya Weerasekara (Vice President), Sunil S. Sirisena (Vice President), D. Gamini Wimalasuriya (Vice President), Maddumage Ariyaratne (General Secretary), and Prasantha Abeykoon (Treasurer).
