The export manufacturing sector is operating at about 90% capacity, The Morning learnt.
“A majority of the factories are operational. I believe around 80- 90% are operating at full strength,” Export Development Board President Prabhash Subasinghe told The Morning.

He said that this had been enabled due to the instructions given by the Government to allow the supply chain to function with stringent adherence to Covid-19 regulations.
“The Government has taken measures to ensure that the export factories as well as the supply chain are allowed to operate amidst the local curfews and lockdowns.”
