Textprint Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd., the fully integrated fabric printing entity of MAS Holdings supply chain, signed a Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Trischel Fabric (Pvt.) Ltd. on 31 January 2021. Through this amalgamation, Textprint assumes position as Trischel’s official print solution provider.
With this merger, Trischel – the only vertically integrated warp and weft synthetic fabric manufacturer in South Asia, according to Textprint – will leverage Textprint printing capabilities in synthetic fabric, cotton fabric, and lace to offer a comprehensive manufacturing solution.
The amalgamation follows MAS’ joint venture agreement of 2018 with Best Pacific International Holdings Ltd. – the leading one-stop solutions provider in the global synthetic textile industry. Since the formation of the joint venture, Trischel has grown to become one of the largest synthetic fabric manufacturers in South Asia catering to the needs of the world’s foremost fashion brands.
With the amalgamation of Trischel and Textprint Lanka, the company will continue to drive performance improvements across the supply chain by streamlining operations and exploring more growth opportunities in the domain of fabric printing technology. Trischel’s new printing arm will acquire Textprint Lanka’s state-of-the-art technologies such as flatbed printing, rotary printing, digital printing, and foil printing, as well as its in-house design and development unit, engraving unit, fully automatic colour dispensing unit, and other finishing technologies.
Trischel is the only warp knit, synthetic stretch fabric manufacturer in South Asia, producing a wide range of tricot and raschel fabrics as well as circular knits, specialising in fine gauge and functional fabrics that are utilised in garments for lingerie, swimwear, sportswear, and athleisure. Its growing customer portfolio includes world-renowned brands such as Lbrands, Lululemon, Nike, and Decathlon. Trischel is a fully vertically integrated operation with the latest technology from warping of yarn to knitting, dyeing, finishing, and printing of the fabric all under one roof.
