Moratuwa Mayor & several PS members arrested over May 9 incident

Moratuwa Mayor Saman Lal Fernando, Seethawakapura Pradeshi Sabha (PS) Chairman Jayantha Rohana, Kelaniya PS member Manjula Prasanna and Dan Priyasad have been arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) over the May 9 incidents in Colpetty and Galle Face Green.

Violence broke out on the 9th of May when pro-government and anti-government protesters clashed at the Galle Face and Temple Trees, destroying the peaceful protest site Gotagogama.
