The Cabinet of Ministers approved the resolution for entering into a memorandum of understanding between the governments of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Sultanate of Oman for mutually releasing from obtaining Visa permit for individuals possessing diplomatic, special, service and official passports. This proposal was submitted to release those with a view to further strengthening the friendly relationships between the two countries from visa. This allows facilitating transportation between the two countries so that the citizens of both countries can travel between the two countries. The proposal was submitted by the Minister of Irrigation and the State Minister of Defence, Home Affairs and Disaster Management.
