Dismisses reports of changes
The National List published by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) a few days ago was the final list and has already been sent to the Election Commission (EC), SLPP Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam said yesterday (10).
Responding to a query asking whether there was a request from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) to amend the list, Kariyawasam, denying such a request being made, said the list which has been released to the media was the final list.
Meanwhile, also responding to the allegations levelled against SLPP National List appointee Suren Raghavan on his citizenship, Kariyawasam explained that Raghavan was a dual citizen before, but before he signed the nominations, he was all cleared and is now a Sri Lankan citizen.
