The Health Ministry today announced two more coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to seven in the country.
The Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi said the two individuals had arrived from Italy early this morning.
Wanniarachchi speaking further said going forward permission should be obtained from the Police to conduct mass gatherings. The new regulation will be in effect for two weeks.
She added the decision was taken in a bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
