Chief Medical Officer of the Colombo Municipal Council Dr. Ruwan Wijayamuni said that the Covid-19 vaccine will be given to the occupants of elderly care facilities within the Municipality in a week. From yesterday, (18) a special ambulance service commenced administering the vaccine to some 2,800 adults in 28 elderly care facilities within city limits. He also said the relevant officials will visit the homes for the elderly in ambulances and administer the vaccine.
