A person has been killed in a clash between two groups in the Alwai North area in the Point Pedro Police Division, stated Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana today. Five persons were injured in a clash at noon yesterday (20). A man succumbed to his injuries after being admitted to Mandigai Hospital. The deceased has been identified as a 31-year-old resident of the area, police said. The injured have been transferred to Jaffna Hospital for further treatment. Point Pedro police are conducting further investigations.
