Experts say that people infected with the Delta Covid variant has been found in many parts of Sri Lanka. Accordingly, 38 Delta Covid patients have been identified in the country so far, said Dr. Hemantha Herath. Deputy Director General of Health Services, Dr. Hemantha Herath said that the samples taken in the last few days have identified these infections. Samples taken from Colombo, Kilinochchi, Jaffna and Navy personnel identified the infected delta variant.
