PCoI on Easter Sunday attacks: RW, Sagala, and Ruwan summoned

By Skandha Gunasekara The Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing the Easter Sunday attacks has summoned former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to appear before its Investigative Unit. Secretary to the PCoI probing the Easter bombings, Buwaneka Herath, said that the Commission had issued summonses on former Prime Minister Wickremesinghe, former Minister of Ports and Shipping Sagala Ratnayake, and former State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardena to appear on 21 August. “The former Prime Minister and Sagala Ratnayake have both been summoned on the 21st of this month,” he said, noting that they have been summoned to the Commission’s Police Investigative Unit. He added that Ruwan Wijewardena has been summoned on 19 August to appear before the Investigative Unit.
