A request to repatriate the Sri Lankan students and families numbering 33 from Wuhan city is pending clearance from Chinese Authorities, Sri Lanka Foreign Ministry said in a press statement today(29).
As the number of coronavirus infections continues to grow, millions of people have gone into lockdown in Wuhan - the centre of the outbreak - to try to stop the virus spreading.
Sixty-six more Sri Lankan students living in China have returned to the island while 110 more students are scheduled to arrive in the island today (29).
