Defence Secretary General (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne said plans are afoot to arrest persons involved in drug smuggling from overseas during this year.
“We conduct weekly discussions about these issues including underworld activities,” he said.
He also reiterated that operations to curb illegal drug ring in the island would be further strengthened this year.
