PM arrives in Bologna for G20 Interfaith Forum

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived in Bologna, Italy, this evening (10), the Prime Minister’s Media Division stated in a press release. The Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation were welcomed at the Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport by Italian officials and officials from the Sri Lankan Embassy in Italy. Accordingly, PM Rajapaksa is in Bologna to attend the G20 Interfaith Forum 2021, having accepted an invitation to deliver the keynote address during the Opening Ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021. This year’s theme of the Forum is “Peace Among Cultures, Understanding Between Religions.” Other official engagements during the Prime Minister’s visit will include several high-level meetings on the sidelines of the Interfaith Forum. The Prime Minister is currently scheduled to meet the Prime Minister of Italy Mario Draghi, the President of the European Parliament David Sassoli and the President of Slovenia Borut Pahor.
