Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena called on Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at his official residence at Wijerama this morning to discuss about conducting Parliament in line with health guidelines. The Prime Minister’s Office said a cordial discussion was held between the Prime Minister and the Speaker regarding the commencement of the Parliamentary session on February 9th amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. The Prime Minister highlighted the need to conduct Parliament sessions in accordance with health guidelines.
