Senior Inspector (SI) Saman Wasantha Kumara of the Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) allegedly involved in passing drugs to drug dealers in custody has surrendered to the Kadawatha Police a short while ago.
The Police this morning issued a statement seeking help from the public to arrest the officer.
The Kadawatha Police is to handover the suspect to the CID.
SI Kumara is wanted as a part of investigations conducted by the CID into the drug links of officers attached to the PNB.
11 officers allegedly linked to drug trafficking were arrested by the CID last week and detained on Court order for further questioning until 08 July.
