Prez wishes muslim community for Milad Un Nabi

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa released a statement today (18), wishing the Sri Lankan Muslim community for the Mild Un Nabi festival which will be celebrated tomorrow (19).

In his statement, President Rajapaksa emphasised on the two characteristics of benevolence and honesty which Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) had, and went on to say that those were the two characteristics which were needed for anyone to be trusted.

He also addded that the only way he can pay respects to the beloved Prophet is to strive to further disseminate his vision to strengthen coexistence among the people.

“It is most timely than ever before to apply the humanitarian philosophy of the Prophet Muhammad maintained throughout his life, towards social welfare today. May the lives of the Islam devotees around the world, including in Sri Lanka, who revere the exemplary life of the Prophet, be enlightened and prosperous!,” Rajapaksa concluded.
