Prof. Ashu Marasinghe files Right to Information application at SLSI

Former MP for the United National Party, Professor Ashu Marasinghe, today filed a Right to Information application at the Sri Lanka Standards Institution requesting the details of the food items that the Director General of SLSI claimed contained poisonous materials.

He requested that they be transparent about the testing methods they are using, in addition to what action would be taken against the companies that had imported the unrefined food items.

He also requested the SLSI reveal what food items have been proven to contain poisonous materials in them since the 01st of January 2020.
