Protesting disabled soldiers banned from entering State institutes
The Colombo Fort Magistrate issued an order today preventing protesting disabled soldiers from entering any state institution.
Disabled soldiers have been protesting for eight consecutive days calling for solutions for salary issues and fulfillment of several other demands.
The protesters marched up to the Presidential Secretariat at around 6.00 pm yesterday (17) but they had to turn back as the police had temporarily closed the Lotus Road.
However, several disabled soldiers arrived at the Presidential Secretariat early this morning (18) to carry out their protest.
