BY RUWANI FONSEKA Protesters have been seen heading towards Lotus roundabout demanding the resignation of newly appointed Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardane today (22). The new Premiere took oaths less than 2 hours ago, and protesters have already gathered in several pockets around Colombo demanding he steps down immediately. A police spokersperson informed The Morning that police and military have been deployed to set up barricades and further to instructions by the President to ensure public security, barricades will be set up on all ciritcal areas prone to protests.
