Inspector General of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara has filed a Fundamental Rights (FR) petition in the Supreme Court against his removal. Jayasundara was sent on compulsory leave over the investigations on the Easter Sunday attacks. In his petition before the Supreme Court the IGP sought an order to cancel the decision to send him on compulsory leave.
