India started off their second Test against England on Thursday (12), in the ongoing five-match series, on a positive note by ending the first day on 276/3 in their first innings at Lord’s, London. The first Test was drawn on Sunday (8) at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

After being sent out to bat first, India openers Rohit Sharma (83) and Lokesh Rahul (127 not out) stitched a 126-run partnership. Ollie Robinson (1/47) dismissed Kohli towards the end of the day.
Earlier, the start of play was delayed by 15 minutes because of some morning rain.
