Former Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne has filed an anticipatory bail application seeking for the prevention of his arrest over “white van” media conference.
Senaratne filed the application before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today.
The former minister claims that the CID is preparing to arrest him over the said media briefing.
last Saturday, the CID arrested two persons who claimed to be a ‘white van’ driver and a white van abduction victim.
The two individuals revealed their alleged stories during a press conference organised by former Minister Dr. Rajitha Senarathne in the run up to the election in November.
