Steps have been taken to conduct random PCR tests at the Peliyagoda Central Fish Market today (04).
Peliyagoda Urban Council Public Health Inspector Nirosh Wickramasooriya said that steps have been taken to carry out such PCR tests on randomly selected people from the traders and customers who come to buy fish at the fish market.
He added that if any cases were reported today, appropriate action would be taken in the future.
During the second wave of Covid in the country, a large cluster of Covid was created at the Peliyagoda Central Fish Market and spread throughout the country.
