Sri Lanka Police, together with health authorities and the armed forces will begin a joint operation to detect Covid-19 infected motorists from 12.00 noon today (29).
Accordingly, roadblocks have been set up at the 12 entry and exit points of the Western Province, said Police Media Spokesman, DIG Ajith Rohana.
Motorists can expect to encounter roadblocks at the following locations;
- Kochchikade Thoppuwa Bridge
- Kotadeniyawa Badalgama Bridge
- Nittambuwa Helagala Junction
- Giriulla Bridge, Mirigama
- Dompe Samanabedda Bridge
- Hanwella Wanahagoda Bridge
- Aluthgama Benthara Bridge
- Thiniyawala Junction
- Ingiriya Ketakedella Bridge
- Baduraliya - Near Kalawana Saman Devalaya
- Gorakaduwa Avittawa Bridge in Meegahatenna Police Division
- Near the Welipenna interchange on the Southern Expressway
