An engineer of the Provincial Road Development Authority (RDA) office in Udugampola was arrested over the incident of assaulting a female Management Assistant, stated the Udugampola police today (25).
A special inquiry is to be launched in this regard today.
This was done on the instructions of the General Manager of the Western Provincial Road Development Authority.
It is reported that the officer was an engineer of the Udugampola office of the Western Provincial Road Development Authority and that the victim was a managing assistant.
The incident had occurred following a delay in carrying out instructions by the managing assistant.
