Head of the Covid 19 Task Force, Army Commander, Lt. General Shavendra Silva urges the public to refrain from crossing district borders, especially during the upcoming long weekend.
Lt. General Silva told The Morning that the public should exercise extreme caution in the next few weeks and stop crossing district borders.
He further noted that the public should also take measures to postpone all non-essential events as it could propel the spread of the Covid 19 virus.
The Army Commander also urged the public to remain in their houses as much as possible, especially during the long weekend.
