United National Party (UNP) Leader and former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe had recently met with the Colombo Port City Managing Director and several others.
Wickremesinghe had recently received an invitation to visit the Colombo Port City and engage in an inspection tour of the facility.
Wickremesinghe, who was accompanied by UNP Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardena and Wickeremesinghe’s close confidant Sagala Ratnayaka, had visited the Port City and toured the facility on 17 July. They were shown around the project as well as the ongoing operations.
Afterwards, Wickremesinghe and Wijewardena were invited to dine at the Port City office along with the officials.
