Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa today (17) revealed a shortage of Tocilizumab medication that is required to treat severe Covid 19 patients.
Premadasa informed Parliament that there were many inquiries from people trying to access the medication and upon inquiry, it was revealed that there was a shortage in the market.
The Opposition Leader called on the Government to immediately look into the issue and ensure that the medication was available for critical Covid 19 patients.
Premadasa also called on the Government to convene the disaster management committee to address the current crisis situation due to the Covid 19 pandemic in the country.
