Sekar left weeks ago without informing SLC!
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) yesterday (18) announced that David Sekar, the national fast-bowling coach, has “announced his resignation from his position, with immediate effect”. Shekar has cited personal reasons for his decision, the SLC communiqué added.
But sources said the fast-bowling coach has allegedly left SLC some weeks ago even without officially informing the Cricket Board. Sekar has joined SLC in December 2019.
Former Sri Lanka fast-bowler Chaminda Vaas is said to be appointed as Fast Bowling Coach in an ad-hoc basis for the forthcoming West Indies tour which is starting on Tuesday, 23 February.
Sekar is hoping to join an English County for his next assignment, it is also learnt.
