It was sad to hear that Angelo Mathews had decided to take a break from national duties. But he is only 34 years old. Due to the fact that Sri Lanka have been ranked No. 8 in the world at the moment, Mathews should come back and the newcomers can learn a lot from him.

Mathews has represented Sri Lanka in 90 Tests, 218 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 78 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). He had scored 6,236 runs in Tests with an average of 44.86.
